The English edition of Pravda once published a short piece discussing how a “Womenβs Inner World Written on Their Breasts and Nipples“ (see http://english.pravda.ru/society/sex/05-03-2009/107192-women_breasts-0/ for the original article in English-translation).
While some folks prefer the term Breastomancy, the correct term for this sort of practice is Sternomancy, a method of divination that was particularly popular in Spain in the Eighteenth Century and has cousins in Asia, particularly with practitioners in Thailand and Japan.
Sternomancy is related to palmistry, phrenology, and the like in that there is a belief that one’s “fortune” is written upon one’s body, particularly in the breasts and nipples.
