Hypnotic Depth and Intensification of Imaginative Involvement

Hypnotic depth is often referred to as a means of judging how far or much a person is hypnotized.

Actually this concept is a bit of a misnomer as there really is no such thing as depth as we don’t actually go deeper into hypnosis but rather we allow the hypnosis to become more powerfully effective through an intensification of our imaginative involvement in the experience.

Of course, in addition to the trance partner’s focus, there is also a matter of natural suggestibility versus trained or skilled suggestibility or hypnotizeability.

Some folks are naturally more apt at entering into experiential hypnosis or somnambulism while others take a bit more practicing.

Of course, when you get your hypno-hands on a truly gifted somnambule who is skilled at employing hypnosis, you can do some truly wonderful things.

One sign of a natural somnambule is the rolling of the eyes into the back of the head . . . in the video here you can see that the two girls the hypnotist is working with are true natural responsives and while their eye positions and body responses may seem a bit spooky to the uninitiated, an experienced hypnotist should do a bit of a fist pump accompanied by “hell, yeah!” when they see these responses as they should know that they pretty much have carte blanche to accomplish some wonderful things and the trance partner can find that they have a truly powerful and amazing experience.

The effects used here are actually pretty standard and a bit on the old side but as they are used effectively and in a rather interesting way we forgive that and note that even something very basic like various forms of catalepsy can be employed in very creative and effective ways to create a bold and exciting new experience for trance partner and audience.

All the best,
