In this entry of our series of short discussions and video examples of various stage hypnosis techniques and gags, we will look at a very quick and easy gag that can be a lot of fun. Tickle Fairies . . . now, most of us have no idea whatever in the world a tickle fairy might be but that’s okay as long at the unconscious of the trance partner volunteers is willing to take on the suggestion and play with it, we’re golden.
While I have introduced tickle fairies at various times and in various contexts, here we will see it as an add-on to the classic horse race finish gag in which the volunteers are suggested that they have won a race or contest of some sort and that they need to hide the prize money on their person somewhere . . . the suggestion is then given that the check transforms into a monkey or weasal or some other creature that crawls around tickling the volunteers. Here, I add in the idea of a tickle fairy so let’s see the video.
Silly? Yes. Fun, absolutely! Just play with the concept and see what variations you can come up with!
