R.I.P. Gil Boyne

It is with sadness that I report that GIL BOYNE has passed away.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other details at this time as they have been sketchy on the few sites I've seen it reported.

Gil will be greatly missed and as has been noted elsewhere, it doesn't matter if you were one of his students or not or whether or not you were a member of his organization . . . if you were a hypnotist, you were impacted by Gil's work.

Certainly, those who live and work in the United States have felt his positive impact upon legislation and those who live elsewhere have been enriched by his techniques.

I've reccommended his book and his training to many over the years. His adaptation of Elman-based hypnoanalysis is very worthwhile, the addition of gestalt methods was a very powerful innovation.

Gil, you will be missed and your influence will be with us all for many years to come.

If you were not familiar with Gil or his work, see http://gil-boyne.com and http://www.hypnotistexaminers.org/about_gb.html for more information.

All the best,
Brian
