As most of the regular readers know, last Monday was Lorraine's birthday – see https://briandavidphillips.net/2010/03/happy-birthday-lorraine.html.
Since it was a school day, we decided we'd have the "official" birthday dinner in the evening when Kaye was home. However, Lorraine and I had lunch at the Taipei Zoo and then spent some time walking around. We wanted to see the pandas but the first Monday of every month is also when they close that exhibit for maintenance – go figure. Then we went to see Lorraine's favorite, the tigers, but didn't have good luck there. Still, we had a nice time and I did bring my 3D camera.
In the evening, we picked Kaye up from the train station and headed in to Keelung for dinner.

I know, the question mark is puzzling but evidently someone – I won't name names, Lorraine – doesn't want the world to know how old she is.

I like this shot of Kaye and Lorraine at the restaurant in Keelung. It's a sweet moment.
MOTHER'S MILK?
Some of you have seen this before . . . it's my favorite statue outside the Zoo, down the road from the McDonalds at the Zoo Mall. You got to hand it to an artist who can get a statue of a deer breastfeeding from a woman placed as a public installation. It's been there for years and there's now a few benches nearby so you can sit and admire and wonder at the piece.

This fellow obviously was messing with us. He was faced full frontal and as soon as the cameras came out the turned his back to us.

My camera doesn't really have much of a telephoto lense set but we still got some nice shots of the monkeys.
