Hypnotherapy on the Naughty Side

On one of the various hypnosis groups I belong to on fetlife, a question was asked by a hypnotherapist who plans to move into unfamiliar territory for her work in that she wishes to go into what she described at the "naughty" approach to hypnotherapy and asks how one would approach things of a sexual nature as a hypnotherapist, giving as an example helping someone overcome a dislike of the taste of semen or a distaste in swallowing (her posited approach is to give a suggestion that semen tastes like chocolate).

My edited response is as follows . . . if you are discussing a general orientation or therapeutic approach rather than strictly recreational erotic contexts for hypnosis, then the approach can be similar to what you do for therapy, just for sexual issues. You might check the free newsletter at http://www.eroticatrance.com for some ideas.

As to semen taste, parts process perhaps and anchoring. I've worked with women and men for this and used anything from six-step reframe to 3D Mind. Simple suggestion similar to the chocolate idea will work for high responders, assuming they don't have deeper issues related to tasting cum (some folks aren't just not liking the taste, they have issues of guilt or shame or fear or cleanliness or a lot of baggage to get over).  I would suggest changing that strategy to one of receiving pleasure akin to that received from eating chocolate rather than having semen taste like chocolate (which might create a further drive to taste more semen than is reasonable or to pursue more chocolate or to avoid chocolate as it becomes inappropriately associated with semen or the like.

So, choose your process and run it without presumption as to what the underlying factors are. If you do something like a chocolate suggestion and it doesn't stick, then likely you need to do more. Since the taste of semen for most is just a matter of acquired taste much like beer, I likely wouldn't start out with hypnoanalysis (I'd probably run change-hands or similar processes), but it can be helpful for those who have deeper core resistance to tasting semen (one case I am familiar with was with a woman whose first taste of semen was during a rape and so while the taste itself was fairly neutral it become embroiled with associations of violence, fear, and shame that had to be dealt with before she could comfortably learn to enjoy something that intellectually and fantasywise she was interested in but had been blocked from due to negative emotional associations that were too powerful to overcome without appropriate therapy – after which she did indeed learn to enjoy oral sex and the taste of semen, as she had wished). I've had a few folks come to me for this issue, but other sexual issues are more prevalent when it comes to the so-called "naughty" and therapeutic overlap (like overcoming a distaste for fellatio or cunnilingus in the first place or working with the gag reflex for deep throat or the like). Honestly, I'd probably NOT use the chocolate suggestion for semen taste or swallowing as it does have the inherent implication of increasing the desire for chocolate in some folks and other possible issues as noted above so if you use it you have to be careful of how you phrase it.

For most sexual issues, you simply run the processes as you would with any other issue . . . hypnotherapy for sexual issues is generally the same as hypnotherapy for other issues . . . it boils down to behavior and emotional responses . . . but, there are some areas unique to erotic applications of hypnosis and hypnotherapeutic context – see http://www.eroticatrance.com for some ideas on that.

BTW, for other issues related to erotic hypnosis, you might consider reading the blog at https://briandavidphillips.net/hypnosis_erotic_and_sexual as there are a number of essays that may be helpful as well as videos which illustrate a number of points.

I hope this has been helpful.

All the best,
