3M has announced a new microfilm that may make 3D displays on cellphones likely and similar to the autostereoscopic display on the Fuji Real 3D W1 camera which has a 3D display that shows the images in real 3D with no glasses needed. This is very likely not just vaporware as there are a lot of folks working on trying to find solutions for this sort of thing . . . Fuji was the first in the box for a mass produced stereodigitalcamera that shoots 3D photos (I REALLY LOVE MINE), albeit in what seems to be a rather limited release . . . but, given the number of 3D televisions set to go into retail release in 2010, we can expect more.
