California Trancin’ . . . wish you were here

Lorraine and I made it to beautiful sunny California and we're now happily installed at the hotel in Redondo Beach.  We have finished the first day of the Walkabout Trance Beach Resort Getaway and are about to begin the second in just over an hour.

The flight sucked . . . ten hours from Taipei to Honolulu where we had a full day layover and absolutely no phone coverage.  It was a fairly pleasant day in Honolulu, even though we were exhausted and had to shlepp things around with us.  The flight from Honolulu to Los Angeles was short by comparison, only five hours.

We arrived in LA on Friday morning, exhausted . . . but we had to deal with some emergencies and so had to run around a lot . . . no time to rest.  We borrowed Richard's car to go to the embassy . . . feeding money into the meter and rushing in, not seeing the tow signs.  When we got out of the embassy, the car was gone . . . then we saw the signs that cars in the area would be towed between four and seven . . . we exited the embassy at 4:10 so we learned that LA tow trucks work pretty fast.

Unfortunately because we had no reliable phone service, it took awhile to get ahold of Richard.

The next day was the first day of the seminar so Richard took registrations and then he and his wife went off to deal with getting the car (and the manuals for the course which were inside).  They could not find the car at the impound and so had to go deal with the police as it looked like the car was stolen . . . thankfully, the police officer did finally locate the car in the impound system.

So, all is well . . . although I deeply regret the incident.  Much suckfulness and buhaoyisa on that front.  Lorraine told Richard we will pay their impound fees.  Man, that was rough.

The joys of air conditioning and no air conditioning and crowds and lack of sleep and tons of talking has left me in the perfect condition to catch a cold so my voice is a bit on the raw side.  Managing and will amp up the energy a bit to compensate.

The class is going at a fast pace . . . there's a wide range in experience levels so it's the balancing act thing between levels.

I spent the first day doing suggestibility effects and a few instant inductions.  Today is solid inductions, creative inductions, and creative processes . . . with much more walkabout than we've done in the past . . . soooooo . . . even more fast paced.

It's been very nice to see some of the same faces as last time as well as a slew of new ones.  A number of the folks have been a delight to work and play with.

The Erotic Hypnosis class on Monday has filled up.  We had planned on a smaller group so we have a different room for that class and it's now filled.

All the best,
Brian
