The cliche with crystal balls is the Hollywood image of an exotic fortune teller gazing into the ball and seeing all manner of strange and exotic images or scenes as if they are watching three-dimensional characters from the future acting out fate for those in the present.
Well, while some folks who perform "authentic" scrying do indeed experience such visualizations, that’s not what many folks experience. Many scryers – crystal ball or otherwise – experience the session as a series of colors, fogs, or images.
While I find the concept of scrying fascinating, and do indeed enjoy a good visualization exercise, for purposes of hypnosis, I tend to play with crystal ball and other scrying tools as part of a series of trance-based processes, using the tools of the mystic but with the precision and power of the transformational hypnotist.
The following video is of a session employing one such process, the use of a crystal ball as part of an introspective awareness exercise that can be very beneficial for folks.
