I Heart Huckabees

Lorraine and I watched I Heart Huckabees last night . . . not knowing what sort of a film we were in for.

Kaye started watching it but gave up early as it’s just not appropriate for her.

However, Lorraine and I loved it. I found it to be a delightful existential romp . . . folks in the changework professions will likely get a kick out of it, particularly those interested in quantum philosophy and the like.

This is not a film for mass audiences, too heady and too odd or quirky, but folks who enjoy humor and existential nonsense will enjoy it quite a bit.

I was particularly taken with the bits on coincidences . . . they aren’t all meaningful, you know . . . as synchronicity is one of my things. It was nice to see how what was seemingly obviously just a random coincidence that meant nothing turned out to have a deep and meaningful twist.

The spaces and the connections also fit beautifully.

Very well done.
