Samhain Salutations . . .

Happy Halloween from Kaye and the rest of the Phillips family!

Kaye carved this Jack-o-Lantern for her Halloween party last weekend. She had more than a lot of assistance from her English tutor but it’s still a pretty special deal. When I grabbed my digital 3D camera rig (Loreo+Digital_Rebel), the lighting was too low to do much good but it still worked. She decided to demonstrate her magic skills by having the head float in front of her so she could rest her arms on top . . . oooh, spooky. This is an autostereoscopic 3D animated gif, the two views of the left and right eye alternate to give the illusion of depth via the principle of persistance of vision. There are more shots of Kaye and her pumpkin here, including anaglyph and parallel views. For more about 3D/stereophotography, feel free to look here.

Happy Halloween,
The Phillips Family
