Luc Besson is making Arthur a 3D and live action feature!

More fuel for the 3D film fire . . . or, more for the bandwagon . . . Luc Besson is turning his children’s book into a live action 3D movie . . . good stuff on the way . . . Luc Besson is making Arthur a 3D and live action feature:

Luc Besson has started directing his 3D and live action English-language kid’s feature film, “Arthur”. Mia Farrow and Freddie Highmore star in the project. The film is an adaptation of a successful kids books written by Besson.
Shooting began in Normandy Monday at an imitation American-style house, and will continue through to July. The French countryside is meant to represent New York state. Highmore plays Arthur, a little boy who turns to the help of the pixie-like Minimoys to help save his grandfather’s house. Farrow plays his mum. Madonna, David Bowie and Snoop Dogg provide voices for the animated characters.

This one actually sounds pretty neat . . . the cast is rather eclectic and quirky and the story sounds fun. Given the voice cast, the music will most likely be pretty damned good too.

Yeah!
