Return of 3-D . . .
. . . and no goofy glasses

The Christian Science Monitor has a nice piece on the Return of 3-D – and no goofy glasses . . . I could do without the goofy glasses reference but it’s what the folks outside of the stereoscopic world think of. The notes on anaglyph are a bit off but the bit on the push towards eventual full holographic displays is a bit more than kool and a half.

In the meantime, we’re supposed to be at the cusp of a new 3D film revolution . . . let’s hope it spills over into consumer products like displays and full stereodigitalcameras. Dreamin’ of that day . . . hopin’ it will be soon.
