Harrison Ford in 3D

This is interesting . . . Harrison Ford slims down for 3D role . . . just a rumor but as Cameron et al invented the 3D camera system used on the Titanic documentary and for Spy Kids 3D, we’re hopeful.

Movie star Harrison Ford is in talks to star in James Cameron’s new epic, which will be shot in 3D. Hollywood has so far kept quiet about the project, which will be a science-fiction extravaganza – according to gossip site The Scoop. But Ford is reportedly slimming down for the film, because he fears 3D cameras will make him look fat. According to sources, a technical expert warned him: “If the normal camera adds 10 pounds, think how a 3-D camera can blob you up.”

A technical expert? Bullshit. The thing about 3D is not that it adds pounds but that you look like you really look, that’s the whole point, perceived depth and a window into reality.

Someone’s been listening to the wrong idjits. If he needs to lose weight, trim down, and tone up to look good, that’s one thing . . . but if he’s playing anorexiaboy because of the stereoscopic medium, it’s silly. He’ll look fat in 3D if he’s fat in real life . . . trust me, this I know . . . then again, maybe I should start blaming all those fat 3D shots of me on the camera . . . nah, it’s me.
