Since many folks interested in hypnosis, NLP, visualization, and other trancework systems are interested in how they can be applied to relationships between the sexes, particularly seduction (whoa, there, don’t get your hopes up as direct suggestion doesn’t work that way), recently on Mindlist, there’s been some discussion on truth and deception in seduction and my name was mentioned in regard to an example I made at one more time or another about a fellow who based his success with women solely on a system of walking up to women he did not know on the street and simply saying "wanna fuck?" He reported an immediate success rate of one in twenty. Now, if you’re not afraid to play the numbers, you could get between the sheets with a lot of women with that system, as long as you were prepared to walk a lot of pavement and get rejected out of hand a bit, knowing with utter confidence that eventually you will hit the magick number.
Of course, my favorite example of this type of approach is Ugly George . . . of Ugly George’s Hour of Truth Sex and Violence . . . some of you are old enough to emember him while a lot of you whippersnappers will not know of him . . . Ugly George was a plain ol’ average guy (not real ugly but no looker) who would walk around Manhattan with a huge video pack strapped to his back – this was the late seventies and early eighties so you know how bulky that stuff was – he would film women as he walked up to them and asked them to show their titties for cable access TV (New York City’s cable public access was wide open back then so a lot of adult shows were being shown in certain slots . . . I saw my first and only male auto-fellatio dancer on that system, now that guy was limber as he could do the deed while standing and dancing). Playboy once did the numbers and they said that one in ten women would flash their breasts for Ugly George’s camera and then he’d go to the next level and ask for sex and one in ten of the breast flashers would then agree to have sex with him (on camera). So, Ugly George’s success ratio for getting laid was one in one hundred for the women he approached . . . but he got laid a LOT because he approached a TON of women . . . so the moral of the story is that if a dopey guy with a video pack on his back can get laid then ANY man can get laid, regardless of your approach . . . you just have to let go and not take the rejection personally (George filmed and broadcast his hits and his misses, many of which were extremely violent – thus the title of his show).
There are a couple videoporn folks who’ve "borrowed" the dressing for Ugly George’s approach but not the spirit (the Netvideogirls guy uses a camera and pretends to be seducing girls live for real on camera, but those are professionals paid to have sex) . . . Ugly George was a believer in TRUTH . . . of course, today’s media likeness rights and laws are a lot less broad so folks can’t get the level of truth George aspired to or they’d get themselves in a lot of legal hot water for broadcasting images of pure walkups of people who haven’t signed release forms or proven their age.
Now, Ugly George may have had his flash successes in part because it’s such an odd thing for a man with a camera to point it at you and ask to see your titties . . . well, unless he’s shooting a Girls Gone Wild video . . . that the girls found themselves responding as if to a waking hypnotic suggestion (not unlike Ormond McGill’s wonderful examples in his big stage hypnosis book of telling bus drivers to miss stops or turns on their route among other great examples) . . . or, a certain number of women are just waiting for a little exhibitionistic fun.
Don’t get me wrong here, I do NOT endorse the Ugly George method for the Average Joe as your results may very well land you in some scalding hot legal trouble waters.
Because of the "crutch" or "social placebo effect" pretty much ANY seduction or dating strategy that has any amount of actual face-time with a prospect will work . . . as long as the person keeps trying they will eventually get laid (pesonally, I seriously doubt that systems that rely solely on sitting in your bedroom chanting that some hot chick will fall madly in love with you will work if they don’t have any actual strategy for physically approaching her and striking up some sort of conversation, I know there are some folks who disagree with me on this). Hell, if I charged a thousand dollars a shot for guys to be allowed to charge magenetic rings by touching the relic of Don Juan’s preserved penis which I keep wrapped in a velvet cloth inside a golden jewell box at the bottom of my closet those guys would find their success rate with women will skyrocket as they go out into the world, secretly wearing their magickally charged imitation plastic penis rings and start talking to girls regardless of how logical that system may be. Of course, nobody gets at my Don Juan Penis, it’s mine, mine, all mine! The power is mine utterly! Mhua hua hahahahaha 🙂
Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying all systems for meeting new people are bogus or only based upon placebo. Far from it. I do believe that there are some fine "systems" out there and that some will increase a person’s success exponentially when compared to lesser ones.
In my opinion, a strong program is the one that eliminates the need for a "system" and gives the person the tools to actually become the type of person who has confidence in themselves (real deserved confidence not fake feel-good-suggestions) to the point that they are honestly being who they are in a way that truthfully projects their objectives and gives them the ability to go beyond rejection and keep at it as they meet more and more interesting people – not hot babes or clothes racks, but women who actually interest them and who are interested by them.
This is, of course, merely my opinion so others are certainly free to disagree.
