Tony Lee

On one of the umpteen million hypnosis discussion email lists I belong to, someone posted a link to Tony Lee’s notoriously un-updted webpages. The site has been online for a looooonnnngggg time and as far as I can tell it has never been updated. This is really too bad as while Lee does very good business in the college/university market, some web presence would be worthwhile. If anything, he could probably do a brisk business selling videos of his stage hypnosis shows. The email and contact information on the site is not current either.

If you are looking for an unusual and over-the-wall, stage hypnosis show in Canada, Tony Lee is well worth seeing . . . but be forewarned that he is definately well beyond the line of family entertainment. It’s been
quite a while since I’ve seen his act so things may have changed as he’s gotten older but the X-rating is there to let folks know that he does do adult suggestions – no nudity but people do have simulated sex with furniture and the like – his show is very coarse and he will give suggestions that are rather rough for the trade.

The subjects are not treated with the kid-gloves one normally expects and he will do some bits that will make them feel uncomfortable (an example, to tell everyone they have their favorite pets with them and then walk down the line "killing" each pet in turn in a creative way – throwing off a cliff, gunshot to the head, having someone "love" his pet by having sex with it so the animal becomes pregnant and eventually explodes) . . . this is not a tame show and Lee has been used by a number of stage hypnosis instructors as an example of how NOT to treat your subjects.

His shows are aimed more for the rowdy college crowd so conservatives or uptight folks should give him a miss.
